Touring and Automobile Association of Turkey (TTOK), commenced the renovation works of totally 5 mansions on Safranbolu Beybagi Street. Three of these mansions were owned by TACT and two were rented in lieu of restoration. A council involving the executive board and several architects examined the properties in Safranbolu. As a result of negotiations and surveys, it was decided that the devastated mansions were going to be repaired and renovated as soon as possible. TACT approached all mansions in question with the same amount of care and dutifulness, regardless of the owner, because it was a matter of leaving this heritage to future generations. Before the renovations works commenced, the project works (surveying, restitution, restoration, mechanical and electrical installations, etc.) were completed and required approvals were obtained from Karabuk Culture and Nature Preservation Council of Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The restoration tender was held in 2014 at TACT headquarters. When everything was in place, the works began on 25 September 2014 and completed in February 2016. Therefore, Touring and Automobile Association of Turkey now experiences the pride and joy of having fulfilled its responsibility towards future generations by accomplishing these works in this beautiful town.
Turing Safranbolu Konakları Restorasyonları çalışmalarına kendi mülkü olduğu konakların yanında kiracısı olduğu konaklara da aynı özveriyle yaklaşmış, Safranbolu’nun değerlerini açığa çıkarma ve bu değerleri fonksiyonel hale getirerek geleceğe aktarma noktasında üzerine düşen görevleri yerine getirmeyi amaç edinmiştir. Restorasyon uygulamalarından önce söz konusu restorasyonu yapılacak konakların, proje çalışmaları (rölöve, restitüsyon, restorasyon, makine ve elektrik tesisat projeleri) tamamlanarak, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı Karabük Kültür ve Tabiat Varlıklarını Koruma Kurulu’ndan gerekli onaylar alınır.
