Under Ottoman handsfor the last 800 years, Safranbolu offers a timeless picture of what Ottoman life and culture used to look like. Located in the center of trade routes, the townhouses and mansions reflect the rich past of the settlement. TOURING was the first to invest and advertise the cultural heritage of this town, eventually transforming the largest Ottoman house into a traditional Anatolian hotel. Windows open to a world where nature and a bustling Street life converge harmoniously. Haşan Çavuşoğlu Hüseyin Ağa was the first owner of this mansion which was later bought by the Asmazlar family. This is where the mansion gets its name. The date of construction is inscribed on the entrance door: 1830. The living quarters contain the storage facilities and cooking premises. The hotel has transformed this area into a restaurant. The lower story is where the svvimming pool is located. This area has a veryrestful atmosphere; the sound ofrunning waterfrom the Ottoman style faucets creates a serene environment. The guest rooms contain built in Turkish seating along the edges of the wall, wooden wardrobes, and the bathrooms have bathing cubicles. Traditional window shutters called "kara kapak" offer protection against the elements. A side building called the Cevizli Mansion was rented in 1998 and restored, eventually adding 6 more rooms to the hotel. Along with its brass bedsteads, the mansion truly provides a royal treatment, a little haven from the past. İn 1988, the hotel obtained the honor of being Anatolia's first traditional boutique hotel.
Her evin seyredebileceği kendi tablosu ve manzarası vardır. Doğa, insan, ev, sokak, çarşı ilişkileri son derece dengeli ve düzenlidir. Safranbolu Havuzlu Asmazlar Konağı da bu halkalar içinde çarşı merkezine yakın bir noktada yer alır. Konağın ilk sahibi zamanın beyi olan Haşan Çavuşoğlu Hüseyin Ağa’dır. Konağın çevresi çok geniş bağlık bahçelik olduğu için sokak “Beybağı” ismini alır. Zamanında bu konağın satılacağını duyan Rusya’nın Kazan Türklerinden Eskipazar’a yerleşen “Ağsımazlar Ailesi” bu konağı satın alır. Bu aile sonraları Asmazlar, konak da Asmazlar Evi olarak anılmaya başlar.

1988 yılında örnek olması açısından Safranbolu’nun ve Anadolu’nun ilk geleneksel özgün butik oteli olarak açılan Safranbolu Havuzlu Asmazlar Konağı yaklaşık 25 yıl geçmesine, onlarca otel ve işletme açılmasına rağmen aynı ihtişamını ve sadelik içinde soyluluğunu devam ettirmektedir.
